Itera has delivered an integration between the customer’s IT infrastructure and a cloud-based HR product.

Challenge

Elkjøp requested an external, cloud based HR solution that would not jeopardize usability and efficiency for their 6000 staff. An expansion of the services catalogue with cloud based solutions, integrated with existing solutions, would give both flexibility and financial savings.

Solution

Itera has delivered an integration between the customer's IT infrastructure and a cloud-based HR product. This has led to the integration of staff position and personnel information with corporate systems such as point-of-sale, email, intranet etc. In order to provide the end-user a single username and password for all systems, "single sign-on" including the HR-solution, Itera has implemented a user federation based on the SAML 2.0 standard. This enables the users to seamlessly access their HR profile without being prompted for additional login. All the while maintaining security.

Result

Elkjøp's IDM platform and federation solution enables their IT organization to integrate third-party services seamlessly into their service portfolio independent of their individual delivery models.
