As a company, Itera is part of society, and it has a duty to make a positive contribution. Our vision - “Make a difference” – gives us certain obligations in our relationship with our employees, in how we carry out our work, in what we provide to our customers, and in how we manage our relationship with shareholders and society.

Sustainability is business

Itera’s focus on sustainability is integrated into the company’s commercial strategy with binding and measurable KPIs. The company's sustainability focus has been systematised through the three UN Sustainable Development Goals that Itera has adopted, which are relevant to ensuring that our services can make the best possible contribution through our deliveries to customers. These goals are:

9: Industry, innovation, and infrastructure
11: Sustainable cities and communities
12: Responsible consumption and production

We are a certified Eco-Lighthouse company, which is a natural extension to Itera's history of becoming in 2000 the first Norwegian communication and technology company to obtain certification in accordance with the environmental standard ISO 14001. In 2020 we were certified by NASDAQ as a Transparency Partner, which is a scheme that confirms Itera’s commitment to sustainability and transparency, including our commitment to protecting human rights, looking after the environment, and operating ethically responsible business activities.
